Dräger announced the introduction of its X- am 125 Mark II Pump for portable multi-gas detectors, compatible with the X-am 2500, 5000 and 5600 , allowing for confined space entry measurements and leak search.
The instrument’s compact, robust design coupled with the high-performance and superior sensor technology provided by the X-am series devices, offers workers greater ease of use with enhanced reliability.
Advanced technology and a more durable design permit use of the X-am 125 Mark II Pump across a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, wastewater treatment, pharma, oil and gas, chemical and fire services. With improved modular capabilities, the external pump provides flexibility for customer applications.
“We’re excited to introduce the new X-am 125 Mark II Pump to the North American safety market,” said Larry Medina, Product Manager for Portable Gas Detection Devices in North America. “Not only does this device demonstrate Dräger’s unyielding commitment to providing reliable safety solutions, but it also was designed to meet our customers’ needs for a more efficiently sized and heavy-duty external pump that they can integrate into their specific activities.”
Built to be efficient and simple to use, the X-am 125 Mark II Pump automatically switches on when connected to a running X-am device and turns off when removed to conserve power. It features a rechargeable battery, and offers users more than 20 hours of continuous operation.
Furthermore, operating time of the X-am is not decreased when the pump is in operation. In addition, pump operating time and the flow alarm results are stored in the data logger, making it possible to easily view the data and allows you to differentiate between measurements taken by the x-am device with or without the pump attached.
To better support workers ’ daily routines, t he pump’s manageable 6.9 - inch (17.5 - cm) height and lightweight structure make it easy to carry and store , while the solid cast batter y is built to withstand damage from possible impact . The design also includes dust - and water - resistant properties, according to the IP67 protection classification , and is capable of reliable performance at temperatures down to - 40 degrees C elsius ( - 40 degrees Fahrenheit) .
The device also features explosion protection for Ex zone 0 locations, and connects to 3 or 5 mm diameter hoses, up to 45 meters (148 feet) , capable of reaching ambient atmospheres in accessible areas.
